Could these two square off in the Meadowlands next February?

Are we headed for another Drew Brees-Peyton Manning face-off in the Super Bowl? Could be, as both teams led by said quarterbacks are sitting pretty with a sparkling combined record of 10-0. Both squads have been dominant, with the Broncos’ offense on an historically torrid pace and the Saints’ defense having been revitalized by Rob Ryan. Don’t sleep on the Colts, however, who have had two of the most impressive victories of the season these past two weeks over the 49ers and Seahawks, and land at #3 on our countdown of the NFL Films’ Interns Top 15 teams heading into Week 6 of the 2013 NFL Season. Here are the interns that contributed to this week’s rankings:

Tim Yingling – Producers Department

Kyle Toot – Producers Department, “NFL Turning Point”

Jacob Snyder – Producers Department, “NFL Replay”

Kevin Joyce – Producers Department, “Inside the NFL”

Take a look:

  1. Denver Broncos (5-0) – Even after giving up 48 to Jerry’s Boys, the Broncos have little to be concerned about. This is the best offensive start we’ve ever seen and the D is fitting to get back on track when Von Miller returns in another week. (Kyle Toot)
  2. New Orleans Saints (5-0) – They are the most complete team in the NFL right now. Good offense and competent defense. Their defensive unit is the most improved unit of any in the league this season. (Jacob Snyder)
  3. Indianapolis Colts (4-1) – Talk about making statements. The Colts have trampled what many thought were going to be the two best teams in the league this year in consecutive games. Forget the South, look out rest of the AFC. (Toot)
  4. Kansas City Chiefs (5-0) – Another victory for Kansas City as the Chiefs quietly keep pace with the Broncos for the top spot in the division and conference. Luckily we’ll have two chances to see the AFC West rivals square off. (Tim Yingling)
  5. Seattle Seahawks (4-1) – They lost to a good team by six points on the road, nothing to be ashamed about. They’re still in good shape. (Kevin Joyce)
  6. New England Patriots (4-1) – The injuries are starting to catch up with New England. Tom Brady can win any game he’s in, but not when he’s held without a touchdown for the first time in 52 games. Gronk’s return will help stabilize a usually potent passing attack. (Yingling)
  7. San Francisco 49ers (3-2) – I still think Colin Kaepernick is the real deal. Let him get back in his groove. (Snyder)
  8. Cincinnati Bengals (3-2) – This defense is legitimate. You can say that the rain helped at the end, but bottom line, they got things done against one of the greatest of all time. (Joyce)
  9. Chicago Bears (3-2) – The Bears defense is still the Bears defense and Jay Cutler is still Jay Cutler. They’ll be able to win games this season. (Snyder)
  10. Green Bay Packers (2-2) – Coming off of a Week 3 bye, the Cheddar looked a lot better. Taming a Megatron-less Lions team may have given them the edge. Nevertheless, you can’t count out Green Bay with Aaron Rodgers leading the Pack. (Toot)
  11. Baltimore Ravens (3-2) – The Super Bowl champs showed some championship mettle on Sunday, eeking one out against the Dolphins. Can they keep winning? (Joyce)
  12. Miami Dolphins (3-2) – Miami got beat by a superior Saints squad. But a maturing Tannehill and solid defense keep the Dolphins very much in the division hunt, only one game back behind the Patriots. (Yingling)
  13. Detroit Lions (3-2) – Without Calvin Johnson, they might have trouble in a competitive NFC North. With him, they can play with the best of them. (Joyce)
  14. Dallas Cowboys (2-3) – Tony Romo puts up ridiculous numbers but makes a costly error in crunch time. Give the Cowboys credit for hanging with Denver. (Yingling)
  15. Cleveland Browns (3-2) – Don’t look now but the Browns are 3-2 for the first time in 12 years. Still, it’s a blow to lose Hoyer for the year. The burden rests on Brandon Weeden’s shoulders now. (Toot)
