A Football Life, TCIPF Staff

It’s hard not to be impressed when you glance at Marcus Allen’s resume.  Eye-popping accomplishments protrude such as the running back winning the Heisman trophy in 1981 as a USC Trojan, being named the NFL Rookie of the Year, selected as the NFL’s MVP in 1985, voted to the Pro Bowl six times, chosen as the 1983 Super Bowl MVP and ending his career as the all-time rushing touchdown leader; however, he wasn’t finished just yet.  Allen, considered one of the game’s best goal line and short-yardage runners, advanced his resume in 2003, when he was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Here’s a look back at a special feature on the skilled running back.  And, don’t forget to tune in to “Marcus Allen: A Football Life” this Wednesday at 8 p.m. EST only on NFL Network.
