On this date in football – Nov. 16, 2008 – the Steelers defeated the Chargers in a week 11 matchup by an unusual score of 11-10; this was the first such score in NFL history. San Diego’s points consisted of a touchdown and field goal, while Pittsburgh recorded a safety and three field goals. Steelers’ kicker Jeff Reed’s game-winning field goal ironically happened with 11 seconds left in regulation.
