The Wildcat Fad Comes to Top 10 Tonight

Oh 2008, what a year! Michael Phelps won 8 gold medals at the Summer Olympics in China, a proton beam was circulated for the first time in the Large Hadron Collider, and it seemed every offense in the NFL wanted to run “The Wildcat”. It started in week 3 when the Miami Dolphins beat the New England Patriots 38 – 13. Soon thereafter, the sight of a running back taking a direct snap was as common as a bank being bailed out. But not everyone bought into the hype of one of the NFL’s most famous trick plays.
