Henry Ellard was born on this date in 1961. Ellard enjoyed a 16-year NFL career in which he topped 1,000 receiving yards 7 times – including 4 times in his 30s. After his retirement in 1998, Ellard moved into coaching and is currently the wide receivers coach of the New Orleans Saints.

Ellard had one of his best games as a receiver in 1988 against the Denver Broncos. Despite a Rams loss, Ellard hauled in 11 catches for 167 yards and 2 touchdowns. To celebrate his birthday, here’s a look back at that Week 13 game in 1988:
