On April 4, 2010 the Philadelphia Eagles traded quarterback Donovan McNabb to the Washington Redskins for a second-round pick in the 2010 draft and a conditional pick in 2011. Newly-hired head coach Mike Shanahan made the bold move for McNabb to solidify a position that had been shaky in Washington since the early 1990’s. The Shanahan-McNabb marriage didn’t last long however, as McNabb was traded to the Vikings after one season.
