Well, Championship Sunday is here football fans. Let’s take a look back to a day when the 49ers became champions once again.

On this day in 1989, the 49ers defeated the Bengals in Super Bowl XXIII, 20-16. Joe Montana starred again, engineering a fourth quarter drive that gave San Francisco the lead with 34 seconds left in the game.
