On this day in 1967, the inaugural Super Bowl game was played. Vince Lombardi’s Packers defeated Hank Stram’s Chiefs, 35-10, to win their first Super Bowl title.
The Packers’ Bart Starr squared off against the Chiefs’ Len Dawson, with Starr coming out on top in a blowout. But Starr got a lot of help from receiver Max McGee, who looked like he wouldn’t have been able to contribute at all the night before.
