On this day 25 years ago, John Elway orchestrated one of the most famous drives in NFL history, to lead the Broncos to victory over the Browns in the 1986 AFC Championship Game.

After a kickoff by the Browns took a funny bounce and backed up the Broncos at their own two-yard line, Elway needed to lead his offense 98 yards and score a game-tying touchdown to force overtime.

The current Broncos executive was able to do just that, and eventually send Denver to the Super Bowl. Let’s take you back to 1987 for this extended recap of “The Drive” as originally presented on “The NFL’s Greatest Games”:
