Looking Ahead: Christmas Eve Games

Green Bay Packers, Inside the NFL, Minnesota Vikings, TCIPF Staff

This week we look ahead to a full slate of games on Christmas Eve by looking back at one of the best games played on the day before Christmas.

The Packers are coming off of their first loss of the season and will host division rival Chicago on Saturday. So let’s take you back to Christmas Eve 2004, when Green Bay faced off against another bitter rival in Minnesota, and Brett Favre still played for the Packers. Daunte Culpepper and company went toe-to-toe with Favre.

Enjoy the highlight of the game that clinched the NFC North Division for Green Bay, as originally presented on “Inside the NFL”:

The best Christmas Day game ever played on Christmas Day took place in 1971, when the Chiefs lost to the Dolphins in double overtime of a divisional playoff game. Don’t forget to tune to NFL Network when it airs “The Longest Game Ever”, a one-hour special about that classic matchup, at 6 p.m. ET on Sunday, Christmas Day 2011.
