Future Hall-of-Famer LaDainian Tomlinson broke the NFL record for touchdowns in a single season with 29 on this day in 2006.
Tomlinson scored three touchdowns against the Broncos on December 10th, 2006, passing both Priest Holmes and Shaun Alexander – who did it the year before, on the single season list. The Chargers rolled, 48-20.
He led his team to a first-place finish in the AFC West with a 14-2 record and scored a total of 31 touchdowns.
