A former Broncos defensive end/linebacker began his record-setting streak of 10 consecutive games with a sack on this day in 1992. The streak ended in September of 1993.

His mark surpassed the record set by the legendary Bruce Smith back in 1987.

He was tied three years ago by perennial pro-bowler DeMarcus Ware.

Who is he?

Eleven-year NFL veteran Simon Fletcher was a member of the Broncos’ 50th Anniversary Team in 2009, and recorded 97.5 sacks along with 10 fumble recoveries for Denver after the team drafted him in the second round of the 1985 NFL Draft out of Houston.
