The Chargers have had many explosive players in their history and this year appears to be no different. Vincent Jackson and Antonio Gates shined in a high-scoring affair with the Packers yesterday.
For today’s This Day in Football we take you back to the first time Gates recorded a three-touchdown game in his career, on this day in 2004. He went on to set the NFL record for touchdown receptions by a tight end in a single season with 13.
