  • The first ever meeting between the two squads came on November 17th in 1968, and was won by Bart Starr and the champion Packers, 29-7.
  • Archie Manning threw a touchdown pass, and kickers Rich Szaro and Joe Danelo traded fourth-quarter field goals on October 12th, 1975 in a tight game. But Szaro got another late attempt and propelled the Saints to a 20-19 win.
  • In Week 2 of the 1989 season, the Packers came back from a 24-7 halftime deficit, scoring 28 points in the second half to win, 35-34 at Lambeau Field. The winning touchdown was caught late in the fourth quarter by Sterling Sharpe on a pass from Don Majkowski, who tossed three touchdowns in the half to lead the Packers.

  • On October 9th, 2005 the Saints were embarrassed by Brett Favre and the Packers in Green Bay, 52-3. Favre threw three touchdowns and Aaron Brooks tossed two interceptions.
