Kenny Easley was one of the top defensive players in the 1980s. The Seahawks safety made the All-Decade team, and was the NFL’s Defensive Player of the Year in 1984. He also helped launch the career of John and Tock Costacos.

If you grew up in the 80s and loved sports, you probably had a Costacos Brothers poster or two hanging on your wall. Go type ‘Costacos Brothers’ into google and you’ll see just some of their fine work. Kenny Easley was their first. The brothers were fresh out of college, looking for a career. They started out making t-shirts before moving to posters. They had no NFL license, and no experience, but Easley agreed to do a poster with them. Next came Jim McMahon, then Lester Hayes, and soon every big athlete was lining up to work with the Seattle natives.

Tune in to “NFL Films Presents,” hosted by Joe Buck, on Fox Sports 1, Tuesday at 8:30 Eastern / 5:30 Pacific for more on the Costacos Brothers. Enjoy some bonus clips below.
