This week’s show kicks off with the Broncos at the Patriots, Manning v. Brady XIV. In a game that featured two of the game’s best quarterbacks, it was turnovers and Mother Nature that made this game unique. Both teams lost three fumbles; the Patriots gave up the football early on, while the Broncos committed their turnovers in the later portion of the game. While Wes Welker’s fumble might have been the game’s most pivotal play, see how Bill Belichick’s decision at the coin flip turned out to be this games turning point.
Heading into the Cowboys and Giants game, tensions were high. A lot of back and forth in the media resulted in both teams meeting for a stare down, at mid field, before the game even started. Tony Romo leaned on his big three; Dez Bryant, Jason Witten, DeMarco Murray, to push the Cowboys out to a 21-6 lead, but the Giants would not go away. With the help of running backs Andre Brown and Brandon Jacobs, the Giants were able to tie the game late in the fourth quarter. With the pressure on Tony Romo, he was able to lead the Cowboys to a game winning field goal.
Coming into the season, not many people expected the AFC West to have three teams in contention for a playoff berth. Two of those teams, the Chiefs and Chargers met this past weekend in one of the most back and forth matchups of the season. With Alex Smith and Dwayne Bowe connecting for a go-ahead touchdown late in fourth quarter, it looked as though the Chiefs would be on their way to their 10th win of the season. However, Philip Rivers had just enough time left on the clock to drive the Chargers down the field and connect with an unlikely source for a game winning touchdown.
Joe Flacco and the Ravens were faced with a must win game against the Jets. With both teams battling for a playoff spot, a victory in this Week 12 matchup would be huge for either squad. This game was a defensive battle that featured 5 FGs, but it was a single touchdown by Joe Flacco that sealed the victory for the Ravens. Mic’d up for this game, see how Flacco was able to hook up with Jacoby Jones for a 66 yard bomb that prolonged the Ravens playoff hopes for another week.
