Heading into their Week 10 matchup, the talk of the Bears Lions games was the health of Jay Cutler. Cutler sped up his groin rehab, which allowed him to take the field in this week’s divisional matchup. Cutler looked like his old self, but as the game wore on, the hits from the Lions front 4 started to take their toll. Struggling to move within the pocket, Coach Marc Trestman was forced to take his QB out of the game in favor of backup Josh McCown. McCown marched the Bears down the field for a late game touchdown and had his team within a two point conversion of tying it up. However, it once again was the Lions stout defensive line that preserved their victory.
Not only is Richard Sherman one of the top CBs in the league, but he might also be one of the game’s most avid learners. His physical talent helped him reach the NFL, but there is something else that has gotten him to the level he is at now. The Panthers have won five straight games and currently have the league’s second rated defense. Both impressive figures, yet it took a hard fought victory over the 49ers for them to finally start to gain the praise they deserve.
