Tonight, on “NFL Turning Point” – The Patriots’ O Gets Back on Track

Intern Files, Kevin Joyce, Teams, Turning Point

The week 9 episode of Turning Point gets under way with the Vikings at the Cowboys. Coming off a heart breaking loss the week before, the Cowboys hoped that travelling back down to Dallas would help this team get back on track. With a banged up defense and a struggling running game, the Cowboys needed to lean on number 9 if they hoped to defeat Adrian Peterson and a feisty Vikings team.  Wearing a wire for this game, see how Romo was able to prove the doubters wrong and lead his team to a last minute victory.

The Patriots might be sitting atop the AFC East at 7-2, but this season has been anything but a breath of fresh air. On offense, Tom Brady has struggled all season to get this team to the productivity of past seasons. On defense, Bill Belichick has had to overcome injuries to three of his top players. Mic’d up for this contest against the Steelers; see how Belichick and the Patriots were able to get back to their high scoring ways.

Featuring the league’s 5th and 6th ranked offenses, San Diego and Washington matchup looked like it was going to be an aerial display by Pro Bowl quarterbacks Philip Rivers and Robert Griffin III. However, it was Washington’s defense and rushing attack that gave them the upper hand. Wearing wires for this game, see how both Brian Orakpo and Ryan Kerrigan helped Washington make a decisive goal line stand on their way to victory.

This year’s addition of the ‘Ryan Bowl’ featured the 4-4 Jets against the 6-1 Saints. Coming off an embarrassing loss the week before, Rex Ryan and the Jets Defense went into this game with something to prove. Boasting one of the league’s best defensive lines, Rex Ryan consistently pressured Drew Brees and forced him to throw two costly interceptions. With a perfect record against his brother on the line, Rex’s defense did not disappoint.

Make sure to catch all of this, tonight on “NFL Turning Point” at 10/11c, only on NBC Sports Network.
