TDIF: Randall Cobb Ties NFL Kickoff Return Record

Green Bay Packers, TCIPF Staff, This Day in NFL History

On this date in football ─ September 8, 2011 ─ Green Bay Packers kick returner Randall Cobb tied the NFL record for the longest kickoff return for a touchdown.  Cobb, the former University of Kentucky All-America selection, ran back a 108-yard touchdown against the New Orleans Saints, tying the record with former New England Patriot Ellis Hobbs.  Not only was Cobb’s feat impressive, but doing it as a rookie in his debut, made it that much more extraordinary.

Here’s a look back at the record-setting kickoff return, as originally presented on Inside the NFL.
