On this date in football − August 22 − Bill Parcells, former head coach of the Giants, Jets, Patriots and Cowboys, turns 71. Known to many as “The Big Tuna,” Parcells became best known for reeling in two Super Bowl rings with the New York Giants, one in 1986, the other in 1990.
