On this day in 1987, Bo Jackson announced he would be playing football for the Los Angeles Raiders. Just a year before, Jackson was drafted first overall by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. But instead of playing for the Bucs, Jackson opted to play professional baseball for the Kansas City Royals.
When Jackson was eligible to play professional football again in 1987, the Raiders drafted him in the 7th round. And the rest is history.
