On this day in 1985, the 49ers defeated the Dolphins in a much-anticipated Super Bowl XIX showdown between Joe Montana and Dan Marino.
San Francisco entered the game at 17-1 and cruised past 16-2 Miami, behind a near-flawless performance from Montana who scored four total touchdowns.
