On this day in the year 2000, Jeff Fisher’s Tennessee Titans produced one of the most miraculous plays in NFL history, known as “The Music City Miracle.”

With 16 seconds left in a back-and-forth, evenly-matched contest, the Titans trailed by one point after a made field goal by the Buffalo Bills. The ensuing kickoff was about as close to a Y2K  disaster as it got for the Bills, as Tennessee’s Frank Wycheck received the ball and threw a lateral across the field to Kevin Dyson who took it all the way for the game-winning touchdown.
