This day in 1960 was the last time the Eagles won an NFL Championship when they defeated Green Bay, 17-13, at Franklin Field. Chuck Bednarik played hero with a gutsy performance and led Philadelphia to an emotional title victory.

It was Vince Lombardi’s only postseason loss of his career, but in just his second season with the Packers, his run to the title game instilled confidence in his players, ultimately leading to a dynasty that boasted five NFL Championships.
