The Packers’ Mike McCarthy has said it: his team’s 2010 Super Bowl run was partially inspired by the 51-45 overtime loss Green Bay suffered to the Cardinals in the 2009 Wild Card Game. It was the highest scoring playoff game in NFL history, but in the end, the shootout was decided by a defensive play: Karlos Dansby’s 17-yard fumble return for a touchdown. The game-winning score came so abruptly that it was difficult to appreciate at the time it happened. So here’s a longer look at a play that probably still gives Green Bay the chills.
